Tools for Giving

Students from Lincoln Elementary School learn about gardening and sharing through giving vegetables and flowers they have grown to the elderly.

Charitable giving is easy because of the many types of funds at Akron Community Foundation. You can make a contribution virtually in minutes and your gift of any size is welcome. And as a donor, you’ll receive a number of immediate benefits. Ask your financial advisor to visit the financial advisor center we've set up just for advisors to help them better serve you.

Did you know you can contribute to the very same charities you give to now through the Foundation? With a contribution of $5,000 or more, you can establish a named fund. With a contribution of $25,000 or more, you can establish a scholarship fund.

You also can defer gifts or arrange for future giving, which can increase your spendable income now while providing a substantial fund to help others later. Or help to continue in perpetuity the good works you care about now by establishing a living memorial with the Foundation.

Another important way to give back to your community is to choose that your gift be unrestricted, allowing the Foundation to apply it where it’s needed most.
